Privacy policy
This policy explains what ZedaraGallery collects when you order a personalized book on Etsy, what we use it for, and how long we keep it.
What we collect
- The photos you send of each person and pet in the book.
- The names, ages, genders and heights of the people in the book, and each pet's name and type.
- Your story choice and dedication.
- The shipping address and phone number for delivery, from Etsy or from our order page.
- Your email address, from Etsy or from our order page, used only to send you updates about this order.
- Your Etsy order number and your answer to the photo consent question.
Etsy handles your payment. We never see your card details.
How we use it
We use your information only to make and ship your book, and to answer you about this order. From your photos we make a drawing model of each person and pet, and use it to illustrate your book only. We do not send you marketing emails.
Photos of children
Photos of children are given to us by their parent or legal guardian, or with their parent's permission, who agrees to the photo consent at checkout. Every adult pictured must have agreed too. We use children's photos only for the book they were sent for.

A list of our service providers is available on request: message us on Etsy from your order.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Your photos are never used to train other products, and the drawing models made from them are deleted with the rest of your book files.
How long we keep it
- Original photos
- Deleted when you approve your preview, or when your book prints as is 3 days after the preview is ready.
- Illustrations, character drawing models and book files
- Deleted 30 days after your book is delivered. If we never hear that it was delivered, they are deleted 45 days after it ships.
- Cancelled orders
- Photos are deleted when the order is cancelled. Illustrations, drawing models and book files are deleted 30 days after the order was placed.
- Orders we can't finish
- If we don't hear back, photos are deleted 30 days after your last reply.
- Deleting your data
- Ask us to delete your data at any time; we do it within 30 days.
- What we keep
- The order record (order number, what you ordered, the printer's order number and shipping dates), your consent record and the records we must keep for taxes.
Deleting your information
To ask us to delete your information sooner, or to see what we hold about you, message us on Etsy from your order. Tell us your Etsy order number. If your book is not printed yet, deleting your photos means we can no longer make it.
California and other US states
If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you may ask to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to get a copy. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not treat you differently for asking. To make a request, message us on Etsy from your order.
Canada
If you live in Canada, our privacy practices follow PIPEDA and, in Quebec, Law 25. Your photos and order details are processed and stored outside Canada and outside Quebec, in the United States, by us and our service providers, only to make your book. You may ask to see or correct your information, or withdraw your consent, by contacting us below.
