How we use AI

Illustrations are created with the help of AI from your photos.

How your book is made

1. We check your photos: a clear face, good light and one person, dog or cat in each.
2. From your photos we make a drawing model of each person and pet, so they look like themselves on every page.
3. We write the story from your answers at checkout: names, ages, story choice and dedication.
4. We draw each page in the art style you chose, using the same characters and places throughout the book.
5. Our layout sets the text, title and dedication on the pages. Words are never drawn into the pictures.

How books are checked

Every character drawing and every page is checked automatically before you see it: the content must be safe for children, faces and hands must look right, names must be spelled correctly, and there must be no brand or cartoon characters. A page that fails is drawn again. If it fails a second time, a person on our team looks at it.

You see it before we print

You see the whole book as a preview and can approve it or ask for a fix on any page. Drawings made with AI may not match every detail of a photo; if something looks wrong, tell us in the preview.

Your photos

Your photos and drawing models are used only for your book and are never used to train other products. Original photos are deleted when you approve your preview. See our privacy policy for the full schedule.
